I'm new to Vista having bought new PC couple weeks back. Live in Japan and
all language font is Japanese, of which I was told at time of Purchase that
by downloading Multilanguage pack, (my case English), I can easily change
Toolbar menus to English language. Did that and Explorer all switched over to
English, fine, ...but Outlook remains in Japanese. So much has changed from
my previous XP version that I can barely navigate the new Outlook
menu/Toolbars:-((

Q. Any help out there as to how to force ALL Vista menu's to change language
once Multilanguage pack has been installed and setting applied. [I've changed
every Language / Region setting to English that I can find amongst various
settings options but Outlook remains in Japanese]. Any helpwould be greatly
appreciated.

RE: Vista Outlook -Toolbar Language chnage

You must be using Vista Ultimate to download the language packs.
You have to have that version of vista to change languages, which you have
done successfully.

But, Outlook is a part of the software application suite called Office(Word,
Excel Powerpoint, Outlook, etc), which is NOT part of your operating system.

RE: Vista Outlook -Toolbar Language change

Thx Mick. I am in 'minor minor' league when it comes to being a computer
head, but the feedback that Outlook is not covered by Lannguage Pack which
supports OS only is a helpand start fro me. I recall using MS200 and XP thatI
downloaded some IME vers. of S/W which did allow me chnage the Toolbar Menus
to English (from Japanese). I'll continue searching to see how / what i can
apply for what I have. Maybe, worse case, I need to reinstall Outlook 2007 in
English??

Cheers
RR

PS Mick Murphy your online name or real name? Reason I ask is I'm a Paddy
