Im using Windows 2000Pro SP4.* Just purchased a NEC ND 3530a DVDRW.* After installing the Kazaa Lite Mega Codec (spyware free), Directx 9 runtime, and set Media Player Classic to play DVD, i inserted my DVD movie hoping that the DVDRW drive would pick it up but it doesnt.* At least not consistently.
When i leave the DVD disc within the drive then reboot, then once in Windows then the drive (D
is able to read it but if i reboot again without the disc in the drive then inserting after login, the drive is incapable of reading the DVD disc.* A CDR is fine.
Any clues why this is occurring?* I upgraded the firmware to v1.04c (i believe is the latest).* Couldnt find any newer Windows drivers fior the device so using the ones built into Win2K.* I;ve already tried removing the device from Dev Manager and rebooting but still same effect.
