Beyond what the others have said, and using your from "someone".... NEVER
open anything unless you know that person and can be sure it is actually
from that person.

Ask the person who sent it to send it as an RTF file.
Not all Works files (.wps) can be opened by Word 2000, though you
probably didn't install all the conversions at installation time of
Word 2000.

In reading your post I notice that in my reader (OE6) it is listed above the
other two, even though the three posting dates and times are correct. How
can this be?

Thanks Roger, this system is being used as a test platform [as usual], and
some time/for some reason [lots of installs/uninstalls] it did loose a day,
which I hadn't noticed.

It should be dead-on now, thanks again.
