Since about 2 weeks ago, my Synctoy installation in the office has
refused to start.
When attempting to start, Synctoy 1.4 and Beta 2 fail quietly. Synctoy
1.2 gives a "common language runtime debugging services"error
"application has generated an exception that could not be handled".
When debugging:
An unhandled exception of type 'System.NullReferenceException'
occurred in system.drawing.dll
Additional information: Object reference not set to an instance of an
object.
> system.drawing.dll!System.Drawing.Font.FromLogFont(object lf, System.IntPtr hdc) + 0x88 bytes
This is on Windows XP SP2.
What i have tried so far, to no avail: uninstalled and
reinstalled .Net framework 3.0, 2.0, failed to uninstall 1.1 (not
sufficient access to remove 1.1. hotfix kb928366) rolling back to
system restore point before first synctoy failure, changed the
Regional options and input languages to US-English (like on my home
Win XP SP2 where synctoy still works error remains.
Your help is appreciated,
