I wish to clean up my start menu but Vista appears to do things in a
different way from XP. It seems to combine elements of the start menu from
many different places, as XP did, but there appear to be more places. Are
there any instructions on how to tidy this up.

For example when I look in Windows Explorer I find that I have 4 users
(Default, Guest, Public and Mine), and each user seems to have up to 3
profiles (Local, LocalLow and Roaming). Which of these possibly 12 profiles
add to the start menu and in what order. Do I actually need a Roaming
Profile?

A second but related point is that I now seem to have a Vista games folder
on the left hand side of the menu, as well as on the right where Vista put it
originally. However the games only work when I click on the left hand entry.
If I click on the entry in the original Vista games folder nothing happens.

Any help gratefully accepted.

Re: cleaning up and re-organising the start menu.

do you want all users to share all shortcuts to all programs?

If the answer is yes I will guide you on how to make it very nice and tidy
:-)
