Yes it is a USB network wireless adapter.
Yes I check microsoft site and no go.

How do they get x86 and x64 on the laptop I have.
And yes it has both, I rechecked that.
Is there a way to mod the driver.
I did mod some drivers when Windows XP x64 came out and I did the beta
testing to get hardware working. But it does not seem to work in Vista x64.
Have any Ideals.
Any help

Tony

I not too sure what "MN-510" is (Printer, Scanner, TV Card, ???)

A google search reveals this to be "Microsoft MN-510 Wireless USB
Adapter". Is this correct. Have you checked Microsofts Downloads for
drivers?

And no, when you install Vista x64, you only get x64 (which runs x86
software, but requires signed x64 drivers).

And the reason why Windows XP64 drivers don't work on Vista 64, is
because the entire driver model has been changed from a kernel-mode to a
user-mode model, so that crashing drivers don't kill the entire system.

-If the driver isn't specifically written for Vista - it won't work.-

You can't use 32-Bit drivers on a 64-Bit system.
You can't use 64-Bit drivers on a 32-Bit system.

When you right-click on "Computer" and selct "Properties", what is your
system type listed as? If it states "64-bit Operating System", then you
need to use 64-Bit drivers. If it states "32-Bit Operating System", then
you need to use 32-Bit drivers.

If you are using Vista x64, then I think your confusion about having
both x86 AND x64 stems from the fact that you can run both x86 (32-Bit)
and x64 software. -But you can only use digitally signed and certified
x64 drivers.-

If you are using Vista x86 (32-Bit), then you can only run x86 (32-Bit)
software, and can only install x86 (32-Bit) drivers.

The only other way to get both Vista x86 and Vista x64 on the same
computer would be to install using a dual-boot setup. But even then, you
can only run one version at a time.

If you cannot get specific x64 drivers for your wireless, then you are
out of luck, and need to purchase a new wireless usb dongle that
provides x64 support for Vista.

Help

I need help with vista x64.
I installed it today and my MN-510 does not have drivers for it.
I have Vista Ultima x86 x64 on my HP laptop and the MN-510 works on it but
when I installed Vista Ultima x64 on my main system it is not supported.
I was thinking that if I installed Vista Ultima x64 it would also install
x86 at the same time like on my laptop.
How do I get it to do that.
If need be I will reinstall it if someone tells me how I am to do it so x86
and x64 are installed.
I purchased Vista x64 thinking it would install like the copy that came on
my laptop.
The laptop is HP8510 with an AMD 64 x2
My main system is a Intel Quad core x64
What gives.
