WLOC has never been supported on XP Pro x64 either, so this is nothing new.

But it works just fine on Vista 64........ditto WLOC. I've been running
both for 6 plus months.

FYI: http://messengergeek.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!E3785B1281BBDA1!680.entry

It runs fine. The only hurdle is the installer EXE. The MSI listed on
the site there will install in XP64.

This is -probably- a security (and liability) issue on MS's part.
They likely don't want you installing IM clients on a server. XP64
just gets caught up because it's built on the Win2K3 codebase.
