Terminal services disconnect after about 10 minutes.

Basic problem: users connecting to TS machine get logged off and then logged
back on after 10 minutes idle time.

clients: (XP sp2)
using Remote Desktop Connection
connect to: Windows Server 2003 R2 terminal services machine.
RDP listener has idle timeout set to Never.
GPO for terminal services machine is set to idle timeout never.

At first I thought it was a network connectivity issue, so I setup a
remote desktop to a different machine on the same LAN as the terminal
services machine, but that is staying connected.

I'm sure there's some simple thing I either didn't do that I was supposed
to, or was supposed to do but didn't, but if anyone has any idea as to how to
stop this, I'd appreciate it.

Pretty sure. i've disabled screen savers, and I've seen this problem happen.
They're getting logged off (not locked) and when they get logged back on
(which happens immediately after getting logged off) I can see their logon
scripts running.

Correction: I found out the user I had disable their screen saver actually
didn't do it. So I did it. And it appears to have worked!

This thread helped me solve the same problem...but with slightly different
conditions.
- We connect using remote desktop to a server running Win2003 Server Std
Edition w/SP2.
- One of my users was being logged out after 10mins. His screen saver (on
the server) was turned off (set to 'none') and the interval was 10mins. (As
I understand this function, the interval doesn't matter if there is no screen
saver selected.) This user had admin access rights to the server.
- I selected a screen saver, changed the interval to 99mins, and clicked
Apply/OK. I then selected no screen saver, left the interval at 99, and
clicked Apply/OK.
- This solved the problem. I'll update this if I discover that he is
disconnected after 99 mins.
