Does anyone here use SpywareBlaster 3.5.1 with the latest Firefox
(2.0.0.12)? SpywareBlaster always hangs when it loads the Mozilla/Firefox
detections. Never was a problem up until now.

Not sure why it happens but it happens on all three of my computers.

Ogg:

I circumvented this problem some time ago by keeping the Mozilla/Firefox
disabled. Made this decision after at least three attempts to un- and
reinstall, without positive results. Don't forget, I still use ME.
I tried to get some answers from the forum(s) and the blaster itself, but to
no avail.
The choice is yours.

Harry.

I believe is some sort of conflict with Spybot S&D immunization feature.

Try this: start Spybot and click the Immunize button.

Click "Undo" and let it finish.

Now tick all options but under Firefox select ONLY the Cookies.

Click "Immunize" and let it finish.

IMO, Images, Installations and Popups are redundant immunizations anyway (on
Firefox).

Close Spybot and now test Spyware Blaster...

Was it as fast as you were used to?

Cheers,

Zee

So now you use the worse browser in the world, Internet Explorer?

It may be for you the worst, but it most certainly isn't for me. I have the
Firefox installed, yet not activated, because I like IE6 much better. Noone
seems to bother it anymore since ME was unsupported, the way it looks.
It's all a matter of preference, don't you think? <H>.

You probably are right and I will try this out again, since I remember
facing this issue before and doing the things you suggest, but without the
desired results.
Let you know when I'm done. <H>.

Using IE is stupid unless, of course, you like viruses and malware.

Didn't work for me on a machine that didn't have Spybot installed. I
think it's a spywareblaster thing and no big deal.

That remark implies immaturity, I wouldn't have made my statement, if your
suggestion were true. I have no problems whatsoever, especially since since
the abortion of WinME. And Spybot and the 'Blaster' help me achieve that.
Why can't you be happy for me? <H>.

Re: spywareblaster, mozilla-firefox, winme combo

Yes, I have exactly as you do, but on XP......no problems here. I went
into Spybot as per Oops.....and got thoroughly confused. So am leaving
well enough alone. (G)

Did you hear that, Harry?? (just kidding)

Re: spywareblaster, mozilla-firefox, winme combo

I decided to the same thing after as many repeated reinstalls as you.
Disabling Moz/FF protection prevents the hang. Thanks for the confirmation.

I heard that <g>
but as strange as it may be, the more confusing things get here, the more I
discover how well organized my machine works.
Caution: that remark is to be taken 'relatively'! (hahahahaha.....)
You can kidd me anytime...from the distance (...almost...).

Cheers,
Harry.

I can forego my further trying, I guess, can't I? <H>.
