Can you change the computer name of a licensing server or will the entire
system need to be rebuilt? We recently came up with a new naming standard
and I need to rename both our terminal and licensing servers.

Thanks for any help or KB articles!!

Re: Can you rename a licensing and terminal server?

I assume that your servers are running Windows 2003, is that correct?

Should not be a big problem.
The only thing you will have to check is if the Licensing Server
discovery on the TS is relying on the automatic discovery, in which
case you don't have to do anything at all, or if you have overridden
the automatic discovery. Check in Terminal Services Configuration.
