First of all sorry if my English isn't very good as I'm not sure how I can
say in English (El reloj se atrasa) so I try with the clock is late... Hi, I
have one problem with Vista 64 bits. I have a Intel Quad Core CPU with ASUS
P5K motherboard and 4GB of RAM. My problem is that the PC clock is late while
running windows. I have a curious example: I boot my PC and sync the clock,
then I play World of Warcraft and I see that the WoW in game clock goes ok or
delays some minutes but when I exit the game, the clock in the sidebar is
half an hour delayed for example. First I thinked it could be a hardware
problem, but I think this case is a little strage for being a hw problem...
so... any idea??

Thank you very much.

RE: The clock is late

Aleix,
Salu2.

RE: The clock is late

This is not an English only or local newsgroup. We are worldwide
right on your monitor. The common language here is English. For Carlos to
answer in Spanish is natural because that is his local language. For the
clock synchronization verify that Internet Time Settings are set to
synchronize with an internet time server. Another cause could be a dead CMOS
battery. Have a great day.

RE: The clock is late

I was just trying to answer the OP in his own "natural" language.
I can do both Spanish/English without no effort, but when I see that the OP
has idiomatic problems when trying to express his issue I do it in Spanish.

Re: The clock is late

Jon T,
So it is now time to do some data collection in order to find the root cause
as I already suggested (in Spanish) in my Feb 28th post.
1.- Leave the computer on all night and check if the clock is delayed or not
on the following day.
2.- Execute applications (Word, Excel) for a couple of hours and see if that
affects time.
3.- Play different games for a couple of hours and see if that affects time.
Post back your findings and we will see what is the next step.
Carlos

Re: The clock is late

Your answer Dennis neither helpful nor accurate.

1. It is in the contrary - if it was 'local' board there people communicate
in their local language then it would be stupid to ask to use English only.
But as you admitted yourself - this is international board so _majority_ has
to benefit from this. And historically English is the language for that.

2. Battery and internet sync are stupid obvious answers. I did check both
alright. havent found the answer though but I found the solution.

Just curious - did Carlos asked for attorney? Why do you think you can
answer for others? Its just rude mate.

I'm answering you since your attitude is as being Mr. almighty
stinks. American is the only language that I understand, I can't read or
understand Eastern European languages. Carlos in this newsgroup has been a
friend for many years, he doesn't need help defending himself. The CMOS
battery has had an effect on time accuracy since before the x286 computers
were released. I'm glad that you found the solution to your time problem,
but it looks like this newsgroup isn't good enough to learn what the
solution was. With that type of an attitude you will make it very hard for
anyone to try or want to assist you with a concern. Have a great day.
