I am having an issue an application that uses FTP to connect to a site to
download messages. When running the application it will only connect to the
FTP site when it is ran as the local administrator despite the user being a
member of the local admin group. As of yet I have not found a reason for this
but think it could be related to a feature that protect unauthorised
process’s.
If I use the Run As command on the ftp program and uncheck the 'Protect my
computer from unauthorised activity' the app will run otherwise it just
hangs. if you choose local administrator and enter the password the program
will run and download files.
Does anyone have an idea of what could cause this and is there anyway of
swtiching off the 'Protect my computer from unauthorised activity' feature?
