I've rebooted my XP Pro machine several times today thinking that the
slowness of My Computer was caused by something to do with my Pogo
RadioYourWay Tivo-like radio. It sort of looks like a Ipod, and has a USB
port that allows me to download (or upload) to it's HD. However, I do not
believe I've plugged it in during the latest boot. I just tried My Computer,
and it's window is showing little signs of life. Any idea what may be
causing this? If I bring other windows up, it produces their contents, and
easily lets me operate within them.

I can see now that after maybe two minutes it is populated. It's peeking out
from behind another window, but if click on it to move it forward, the
unexposed part is blank. I did remove some programs from Start->All Programs
earlier. In task mgr, Idle is showing 4:25:34 and increasing each second.

Re: My Computer--Very Slow to Populate with Harddrives

Well, turning it off for about 30 or more minutes seems to have worked
wonders. The Pogo problem was easily solved, and had nothing to do with the
windows behavior.
