Hi,
Strange issue here. My new desktop is a Mac Pro and when I attempt to
connect to one of my Windows Servers it can read the contents of shares,
download, and even DELETE, however on Add, it bombs out.

It can successfully add files to my other 3 servers. The only difference
between the servers is that the one that I cannot add files to is Windows
Server 2003 R2.

Has something changed in R2 that would need to be adjusted?

Thanks for your help,

STS

Are you saying that you can connect to the share actually, but you are
having an issue with it crashing when you try to write back to it?

Read and Execute work just fine? Write is the problem?

Just need clarification so that I can better attempt to answer.

Yes, for example I can download from the share, (the share in question is
for application storage for installations), so I can execute to begin and
successfully install an application, however if I try to upload a downloaded
application it fails with a Zero Kb file being written to the drive.

The really confusing thing to me is that I can delete files I didn't place
there! So you would expect R - D with W being the missing permission. I have
re-set permissions on this share as well as NTFS Permissions on all files
and folders within the share. I have Full Control.

Now, this is NOT a problem on the other, NON-R2 servers.

Thanks for your response Aaron,
Scott

RE: Mac OS X (Leopard) Client cannot Add to Windows Server Share

Hey Scott,

I"m having the same problem w/ my iMac running 10.5.2 connecting to my
office server running Server 2003 R2. Did you ever find a solution to write
to your server?
