I'm running OE ver 6.00.2800.1807. The follow error message appears when
I'm in any newsgroup and my dial-up connection drops me.
MSIMN caused an invalid page fault in
module SHLWAPI.DLL at 01a7:70a754e4.

Any suggestions?

Stab in the dark really - but SHLWAPI.DLL does seem to have its fair share
of Knowledge Base articles!

Although the following article refers to IE 5, SHLWAPI.DLL does seem to be
version conscious. Might be worth confirming that you do have the latest
version of the file :-
"Random Error Messages in Internet Explorer If You Have the Incorrect
Version of the Shlwapi.dll File Installed"
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/284706/en-us

or see the following for other SHLWAPI.DLL issues
http://support.microsoft.com/search...talog=LCID=1033&mode=r&lsc=0&spid=2073&range=

Long process of elimination I'm afraid.

Good luck - I suspect you might need it <g>

This may be of help......I have not used it, so, cannot vouch for anything
contained therein. Read and make your own decisions.
Heirloom, old and remembers when libraries were
not dynamically linked

Re: An Outlook Express error

I was at a Librarians retirement party a couple of years ago and I can
GUARANTEE you that the words "dynamic" and "librarian" do NOT go
together. What a strange lot they were. Rather like my sister, the
Professor, and her friends. Ho hum!!
