Windows Vista word could not create the work file. check temp

I have office 2007 and vista . When i try to do some thing on Word 2007 i am
getting the error word could not create the work file. Please check the
temp.
Can any one tell me what could be the reason behind that?

Increase the MAX TEMP Variable

Make sure the TEMP and TMP folders exists

Right-click on My Computer and select Properties.
Select the Advanced tab.
Select the Environment Variables button.
Check the location of TEMP & TMP (usually c:\temp, or c:\windows\temp )
Make sure the setting exists, first of all, then check that there is such a
location on your hard drive. Check these folders and delete the temp files.
