Is there anyway to disable or remove the "X" option on the Terminal banner
to disconnect a terminal session? I want all clients to go through the
process of close out all programs and log off a terminal session. Adjusted
the registry to remove the Disconnect option from Start-Shutdown, however,
can't figure out a way to disable the "X".

Terminal server is Windows 2003 Std.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Disable "X" option to disconnect a terminal session

There's no native way to this this, but here's a hack:

Disabling the X box on the Terminal Services client
http://terminal.servebeer.com/php/x_box_disable.php

and here's a 3rd party utility which does this:

AppScape Lockdown Utility
http://www.dabcc.com/ThinSol/Downloads/default.htm

Note that no method is really fool-proof, since users can always
just kill the rdp client, or simply minimize and later turn
off/reboot their workstations.
