So we installed a new 2003 terminal server with Office 2007. We can launch
Access by double clikcing the mdb file on the local system, we can start
Acess and load a database from a network location, but if we double click a
mdb file on a network share, nothing. We can righ click the mdb and chose
open, nothing.

Can someone clue me in as to what might be happening?

Thanks
David

Re: Can't launch file by double clicking it on a network share

I don't know if this holds true for Access 2007 databases, but we've had a
similar problem when opening Access 2003 databases from a network share.
Direct opening (by doubleclicking on the file) of MDB-files seems to be
blocked by the 'Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration'. Once
this component was uninstalled through Add/Remove Programs > Windows
Components the problem went away.

Maybe this works for you too.

Thanks Johnathan,

Worked perfect after removing the IE security component.
