I have a win2k Terminal Server with 30 thin clients, and 12 network
printers. It has hardware on a local LAN and two remote WAN sites.
Just recently I have developed a printing problem.
When printing to the remote WAN printers, the printed page gets cut short.
When I use Word to print a page of text with a box around the outside, I
only get the top half (about) of the page printed. The printers don't show
any problem, but the TS shows a printer job timeout, and I get the option to
retry or cancel the print.
This has been working for 1 year+, and the problem just started a couple of
weeks ago.
It doesn't happen on the LAN printers.
It doesn't always happen on the WAN printers (about 90% failure).
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printers.
I have changed the printer drivers. (I get the same result using different
printer drivers).
I have changed the printer configurations.
The event logs:
System log shows the dialogs (retry or cancel).
Application log shows a folder redirection failure (My Pictures)
repeatedly - I only just noticed that one now.
Any suggestions greatfully accepted.
