Thumbnail size won't change

I am following

to set the thumbnail size ie:
Hive: HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Key: Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer
Name: ThumbnailSize
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 25-256

I tried 25 and 255, restarting my file browser in between. Nothing changes.
Why would this be? What is the right way?

The article you're quoting from is a tip for Windows XP users. This newsgroup
covers issues with Windows 2000.

My guess at first glance.....maybe it doesn't work in Windows 2000.
