When SP1 for Office 2007 was released we installed it on our Windows Server
2003 x64 terminal servers in the hope it would fix some of the issues we'd
been experiencing with Office Communicator 2007. Unfortunately this rendered
our terminal servers unusable and we had to nuke and rebuild to get going
again.

The problem seemed to affect Outlook users with the performance degrading to
a point where it would take a user more than five minutes to open an email.

Annoyingly though this did not seem to affect the first dozen or so users
that connected to the servers - only those that connected past that
(approximate) limit. The more users that connected the worse the degredation
got.

I've only been able to find a handful of similarly affected users
(http://www.experts-exchange.com/Microsoft/Applications/Q_23084480.html)

There is a proposed workaround but in our case the cause does not fit - we
were using Office Communicator 2007 with OCS2007.

I've been unable to find a Microsoft KB covering this - has anyone else come
across this issue?
