Hi,
I am not sure if this issue has been posted to date; however I did not turn
up anything with my search prior to posting this thread. My hope is those in
Canada who will be ordering the 64-bit version of Windows VISTA will catch
this before moving forward.
When placing your order, the site gives you the option of waiting 10
business days for shipment (via DHL), or for an additional fee having
delivery within 5 days via Purolator. After calling to determine where my
shipment was today I was informed that Microsoft in no way, shape or form
offers expedited shipping on Canadian bound deliveries even though the
website provides the option and happily charges the additional $12.00 fee I
believe to your VISA bill.
Apparently my report has been escalated and I will be reimbursed the
additional cost of shipping and I would hope in the process the webiste will
be updated; however until this time do NOT choose the option for expedited
shipping as it is completely and totally invalid for Canadian customers.
