Well, I just think that any corruption on the filesystem SHOULD have
resulted in some type of 'serious' error message or warning that said so. On
top of that, it is RAID so do not mess with the filesystem unless you have a
clear indication!
I was fantazising about the Networking Components possibly being damaged,
that might prevent Java to complete, I would suppose?
I think it is to much of a coincidence if any random corruption happened to
infest the directory structure just at the time when these things were being
installed - and I do not believe any of those installations would be
corrupting that structure by itself.
It is certainly possible, however, but I would like to hear someone with
personal experience and knowledge about the AOL stuff express opinion about
its being supported on Vista. If it isn't, then that HAS got to be removed
at once anyway.
