Windows Vista What is Vista Windows Mail Recovered Messages actually doing?

I see no way to understand what is going on with all these messages being
"recovered" slowing down he use of Windows Mail. I can delete the "folder"
that appears in the TaskPane but can this be managed better of disabled
perhaps?
