Just new here, but had a similar problem trying to re-install IIS7 on
Vista Home Premium. So here is what allowed me to re-install IIS7:
- I deleted everything from "c:\windows\system32\inetsrv" folder
- then re-installed IIS7 and Voila!
Hope this hepls somebody
