Hi,

Hope you can help. I use software called PenPower Jnr 7.1 - it connects a
handwriting pad to a Vista machine. after I ran the calibration module, vista
asks whether the the program opened correctly. I chose "no", now, everytime i
run the calibration, I get prompted to a "Run a legacy CPL elevated" before
it opens
the program and it doesnt work. it doesnt give me an optino to not run in
legacy CPL elevated mode.

how do i run in non legacy CPL elevated mode?

regards,

RE: run a legacy CPL elevated message

I could find no "one-step" way to resolve this type of situation. I ended up
doing the following:

1. Searched to find any prior instances of the cpl and saved them to
another directory.

2. Edited the registry looking for the primary name (without the .cpl
extension). Found several instances but one had a data value (in the
right-hand pane) of RUNASADMIN.

3. I clicked on the entry name in the right-hand pane to highlight the line
and deleted it.

4. As a precaution, I removed and re-installed the application and
everything has worked fine since (and I have never seen the message again).

Hope this helps.

RE: run a legacy CPL elevated message

Hi there, I am sorry but I'm not that technical.

What is CPL and the primary name?

Many thanks,
