after i put in the product key, it says installing but then it keeps saying
it encounters an error.
i deleted that opa file but still no help i also deleted my old version of
office

Try clicking harder.

You really must elaborate with background information, what you setup, how
you set it up such as are you trying to configure a silent Office setup
through a GPO, logon script, or SMS, did you use the CIW, etc. Leave
NOTHING out when posting for help, otherwise it will be impossible to
assist.
