I'm sorry, no such probabillity can be assured. Most of the time - and with
most adapters, you should be O.K. - And Adaptec may well have supplied
drivers for inclusion to the XP installation for a large number of their
products, but for any specific product you just don't know unless you have
the product in your hand.
For on-board support, the driver should be on the system CD - for IDE and
PCI cards it's pretty much blowing in the wind - you are largely on your
own.
As before, check Adaptecs driver support page - if the driver does exist,
there is a substantial probability that it will be included with the XP
installation.
