How do I increase my Buffer Cache Memory??? I heard there is a PCI card,
called a host controller, yet I don't have the specifics for it. They said it
serves as a buffer Cache for the system. Thus, I need more info ...I have a
Win Xp desktop....

communicate faster with cpu do to the fact that hard disk are slower than no

Hello,

Gigabyte I-RAM?
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products...ew.aspx?ProductID=2180&ProductName=GC-RAMDISK

Or you can use RamDisk to create a virtual hard drive in RAM

Re: Increasing Disk Buffer Cache Memory?

Under Windows, what you're looking for _is_ RAM. Windows will use
extra memory to cache disk I/O. Almost all disks also have some
amount (usually 8 MiB these days) of onboard cache.
