And Microsoft shouldn't have released
Windows Me, because it had only a limited shelf life. Maybe if it stayed for
a bit longer, and had a SP it would become quite good.

I know a lot of people say that Me sucked because of drivers. Well, it may
be true, but actually, I have
never had any problems with it. It even ran well on a 1996 PC, with a Cyrix
processor better than Windows 98. And the PC was designed for Windows 95!!!
I'm considering installing Windows Me on a PackardBell EasyNoteR (I have
original 2000, Me and XP (OEM), and I plan buying Windows 7 when it is
released), will it work on it?

Details:
Peckard Bell EasyNoteR
Processor
AMD Turion(tm) 64 Mobile Technology ML-34
Version: x86 Family 15 Model 36 Stepping 2
Speed: 795 MHz

RAM - 512, HDD - 80GB

No, that probably won't run Windows 7...,it can't run Vista properly.

You'll need 2-4 gigs of RAM and a dual core processor to run Windows 7...,or
even more for it to run without any problems.

Of course, I could be wrong.

Re: Windows Me on a PackardBell EasyNote

I forgot to mention that once Windows 7 ships, I'll buy a new PC.

Will the Packard Bell EasyNote work properly with Windows Me?

Got confused on what you were asking. (looks at specs again) Yes, you
should be able to run ME fine. I'm running it with 128 mg Ram and 20 gb
drive. Of course, that's a tower.

Re: Windows Me on a PackardBell EasyNote

My WinME is running on a Packard Bell 800 MHz 20GB drive with 256mb RAM and
it runs very well.
