There is almost no chance that the chkdsk is "corruptin your date" but
you can stop this from happening if you really wish to do something
so dangerous.

The registry key is: BOOTEXECUTE

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\BootExecute

It is usually set to: autocheck autochk * (autocheck all hard drives)

I don't recommend you make this change but there it is.

Re: Scan Disk

Thank you Sir!

Yah, until M$ can figure this whole thing out, i dont want all those .chk
files everywhere, and i have the data replicated to another server and there
is no problems but when it gets .chk'ed it replicates the deletion to the
other data server, so you can see my dilema. if you have any suggestion on
that other issue (I've been in the dfs and virtual server groups with it) I
am all ears! Though I have tried just about all of the obvious and some not
so obvious, anyways thanks again for your responce!

Are you using NTFS as your file system? You almost certainly SHOULD
be.

NTFS has very few such problem and almost always cleans up when it
does have one.

FAT (32) is NOT nearly as reliable nor as safe.

Re: Scan Disk

Definitly NFS! I am thinking it is a problem using the SCSI Drives in
virtual server so i decided to go with IDE, to see if that fixes it.

Unlikely to be related to the "SCSI" as such -- although it could be
a hardware error that (just happens to be) on the SCSI device.
