RRAS Creating Multiple DNS Entries for Server Name

I'm running Server 2003 R2. I've installed a second NIC card so I can
run RRAS. The second NIC is configured to not register it's
connection in DNS. It does anyway. Also, the DHCP connections
reserved for RRAS create DNS entries for themselves. So, I have
multiple DNS entries for the same server name and it causes problems
resolving to the correct IP address of the server.

Any suggestions?

What is doing DHCP for you? The only explanation I can think of would be
that DHCP is registering these things in DNS. What does it use for names
when it registers the IP addresses leased to RRAS? These are leased by the
RRAS server itself, and the server in turn allocates the IPs to remote
clients as required (and one to itself for the internal interface).

I figured out how to keep the RRAS connections from being entered into
DNS. http://www.howtonetworking.com/VPN/dnsregister.htm - I had a
dozen or so entries of the same server name until I did this.

I'm still having the problem with the second NIC registering itself in
DNS and causing there to be two entries with the same server name.
The second NIC is configured to not register it's connection in DNS,
but it does anyway.

Have a look at KB 292822.
