Fax permissions not allowing users to see what they should?

Hello,

I have a Windows 2003 SBS Server, with the Fax Console being used on 10
workstations.

Last week, we had an issue in which the Fax system sort-of stopped working
(would not automatically answer the fax line). After reinstalling the fax
system, everything worked fine.

But I have one huge problem. Now, all the non-admins cannot see all items in
the inbox/sent items.

I have made everyone Fax Operators, and even confirmed the Fax Operators
security group has appropriate permissions on the Fax share, but I still
cannot seem to get this fixed.

If anyone has a suggestion, it would be greatly appreciated. The moment I
make an individual Domain Admin, they can see all the faxes in question.
Otherwise, they only see what they have sent.

This would be better posted to the SBS newsgroup. SBS has extras that
regular Windows does not. The folks in SBS are more inclined to have a
solution for you.

I cross-posted this response to this group and the SBS group. Look at the
header to see what the group is called. Follow-up posts (responses) will
come back to both this newsgroup AND the SBS newsgroup for your convenience
so you don't have to check the other one for responses.

Moving forward, for better specific exposure for your SBS questions, I
recommend using the SBS group.

I actually had posted here and not the SBS group on purpose. Though I may
have been wrong in my assumption, but seeing as this is a Windows 2003
feature, and not 'specific' to SBS, I felt that this would be the place to
get the most abount of responses.

I appreciate the posting to the SBS group, and I will monitor it.

No problem. You can check here too since the responses will come back here.
The fax feature in SBS is a feature rich pre-packaged app part of the SBS
suite, as far as I understand it. There's lot's of stuff in SBS not in
regular Windows. Another is the "POP3 Connector" for Exchange. But as you
know, there really isn't such a thing in regular Exchange.
