I've tried to create a new website within IIS 6 but can't get the wizard to
complete - I always get the message ' the web site creation wizard did not
complete successfully - cannot create a a file when that file already
exists'. What does this mean?
Here's what I'm doing:
Admin tools- IIS- on the Web Sites folder, right-click and choose New -website
Put in description -Intranet
Leave next screen on defaults-port 80
Point web site home directory to d:\intranet (an empty folder I just created)
Leave next page at defaults -read only
Then I complete the wizard, only to receive the above did not complete
message.
I've tried this on three servers now, always the same result. What am I
doing wrong?
