Hi. I am running SBS2003 Premium as my domain controller. I have an
application server running Server 2003. This server is just running QB
Enterprise and holds the Excel files that 5 remote stores log into and
modify every day.
The Excel files reside on the server. THe users log in using "Connect to
Small Business Server". They then just open their folder that is located on
their desktop. This folder is just a shortcut to their folder on the server.
They usually can just double click on the file ( daily sales, etc.) that
they need to update. Lately the need to open Excel and then browse to the
file to open it.
If you try to use the shortcut, Excel opens but a blank workbook shows
saying ready. I had fixed this by going into Options, Settings, General, and
unchecking "ignore other applications". I also had to resolve a speed issue
from one of the sites. Everything worked good for a couple of weeks. Now I
got a call saying that it is happening again.
Any help? Thanks in advance.
