I've got the feeling that there must be something simple I've
overlooked, but how do I make a program autorun? I can use msconfig to
prevent one from autoruning, but I'd want to do the opposite of that.

Re: Autorun In Vista Home Premium

Do you mean autorunning when you insert a cd or do you mean running at
system start?

Re: Autorun In Vista Home Premium

You can add it to the registry.

In Vista x64 it's HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->Microsoft->Windows-
>Current Version->Run.

Or if you want it just for a user, put it in the Startup folder.

Re: Autorun In Vista Home Premium

Sorry for the confusion. I'm talking about when the system starts. There
are a couple programs, such as NewProxy, that I use evey day and I'd just
as soon have then load and run when the system is started.
