Operating System Chip by Ahmed Alsharawy

Guest
I think it is a good idea to develop operating system on the electronic chip
this idea will
- solve historical error in building the PC computer and it will Limit
the illegal
copying of the operating system .
- reduce the danger of viruses that strike operating systems and reduce the
time
needed to load the operating system .

To clarify my idea in detail We should take these things in mind
- operating system is part from computer
- We can divide the operating system (the basics of data, identification
data and
update information)
- There is no important reason to booting computer from Hard Disk.

Now what are the new idea ?
- Idea is to develop a system operating on the electronic segment, such as
USB
Flash or PCI segment or any other electronic slide
- And this Chip is divided into two parts or more exists in the first
section main programmes and basic data in the operating system in
Section II
identification data and any updating in the operating system
- The computer will be boot from this Chip (first part is for readers only)
- The operating system will use existing data in the second part could also
use part
from hard disk

- In the end there will be no way to use illegal copies of the operating
system only produces segments of the operating system and this will not only
available For large companies. And when it can pursue this companies

- It will also reduce the risk of viruses

----- I hope that the my suggestion is good also i hope that Microsoft
examine carefully the my suggestion ... In the end I hope vote for this
proposal I hope to benefit from .
Thanks for all.........

I have spent some time thinking about some very similar ideas
if it could be implimented on the pci but I could see a potential for great
speed and stability gains but the challenge would be keeping backwards
compatibility and flexibility and the ability to update
for instance impliment the kernel shell related dlls swap file and a variant
of an interpreter in a memory buffer on card and use a modifide usb storage
to store drivers and scripts with a security arangment that needs local user
permissions to modify
and maybe hide some gatways to impliment some emulator to allow older
hardware and solftware seamlessly by allowing the solfware to beleive its on
a standard sytem
being that its implimented as harware making copies would be much harder
than modifying a few files and copying to a cd or dvd
so microsoft would protect its investment and the consumer would would get a
very powerful stable and secure os.
complication it would involve negotiating the use of other companies patent
and need Microsoft to involve itself in producing non generic hardware

plus by implimenting through solidstate hardware less wear and tear on
harddrives and hard drive and cd failure not being a fatal all data loss must
reinstall os experience

Thank you for your response, Mr. Tep this is first response to logical on

Mr. Alsharawy,

We have completed the evaluation of your submission that you kindly brought
to our attention.

We have concluded, after due consideration, that we will not pursue an
arrangement related to the referenced technology at this time. This decision
does not imply any criticism by Lenovo. Rather, in reaching our conclusion,
we had to consider many factors not necessarily related to the general merit
of the proposal.

The dropout well as the idea to Microsoft and that was a response

Microsoft Empower: This ISV focused program provides software tools and
resources to help partners develop software products and services on the
Microsoft platform.

Microsoft Product Support Newsgroups: Learn more about Microsoft products,
or submit specific feedback on Microsoft products.

Make a Product Suggestion: Collaborate with others who use our products,
including Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs). The Microsoft

Now I must point out some important things
-- my idea based on the production electronic chip of the operating system
and this
means the design Commentary electronic specifically for this purpose
and can
be used USB slot It is not put a system operating on USB flash .

-- Tranche must include more than part in the first part will put the
programmes fundamentals of the operating system and will be read only the
second part for upgrades and modifications, tariffs and can be no more than
one segment and system can use part from hard disk also

-- we can add on this chip place for reading the Flash memory, so that the
Other programmes companies can put his products on flash memory .
That will protect the very strong programs for other companies .

-- The purpose of my idea find operating system stable and secure and
And protection Microsoft products and also the products of other
companies .
-- here the general framework of the idea is of course need to study
Thanks for all...

I find it sad that your idea has met so much resistance
I feel that your idea could be very useful but my focus is on different
reasons
I think that improving technology has the potential to improve society and
general human experience as a whole
my background is primarily mathematics with some digital electronic mostly
outdated
my preference in life is to get more out of less
I've studied a large number of fields I understand the general theory of
modern compuer architecture but some of the specifics are hard for me to find
At one point I took assemmbly for the 8086 proccessor and did very good but
because of various personal flaws I drifted out of the feild.so in some ways
I am a jack of all trades and a master of none. if I could find a way to
help develope a project of this nature even if it did not gain me wealth or
recognition I think it would be worthy project and a door to many many more.
Having an eficient way to inexpensively build and run simulations by raising
the effective resourses and bandwith by reducing the amount of memory used by
the OS and diminthing the dependancy on calls on the slow systems. and
purhaps building a library of generic and constantly used algorythims and
methods could reduce the memory need and hardware dependencies of a large
number of programs raising the effectivness of most systems. if I am right
in my concept the purpose of the OS it to provide a bridge of translation
between hardware and solftware, and having an OS that comes with its own
resourses and capable of efficently using resourses. without sacrificing
stabibility and in this world security could make computers more practical
and attractive everywhere. Socialy it could make high level research and
development available to a larger number of people maybe even increase our
physical resoure or the efficeincy of their use and I think Microsoft and IBM
and Intel are in the best posistion to implement these concepts given they
have the recognized rights to the intectual property that can most
effectively be implements and the skilled technitions and developers with the
widest collective knowledge base. But from what you wrote they are
uninterested maybe they are afraid that making something as potentialy
effective would glut their market or more a phrase against where we are at
this point they don't want to become the bunny, the successful player who all
competitors have to stop in order to remain in the running. I would enjoy
chating with you, maybe we could find a way to get something like this to
develope even if another way has to be found maybe a trial of a lynx like
system emplimented on a usb drive and a ram drive as a test but like all
things it take time to do things the hard way
