Why are you trolling for trouble then, Tom?

Re: All's quiet on the western front

Not looking for trouble - in fact I had my fingers crossed that my innocuous
post wouldn't cause any - it was just such a nice change to see peace around
here that I wanted to share my observation. Might have bee a mistake, since
it looks like there's been a little flare-up on this thread, which wasn't my
intention at all. But at least they're shouting at each other, instead of
ladling their vitriol out to the group at large.

Wish I'd kept my mouth shut and just enjoyed the peace and quiet, though. I
won't make that mistake again.

Although it's a lesson that I need to re-learn from time to time, it's
best not to tempt fate. That b*tch, Fate, has no self-control.

Have a good one, Tom! :)

Noise level is relative. More experienced posters are well aware ALL
Microsoft so-called "support" groups like this frequently have
resident trolls. Here it is the village idiot Frank that likes to sit
on his imaginary throne and hold court because he's actually nuts
enough to think Microsoft wants him to and that he'll somehow be
rewarded for his efforts.

You got to be a special kind of stupid to be that dumb, but anyone
reading just a handful of Frank's rants often sprinkled with bizarre
sexual fantasies over sheep knows he qualifies on that score. Frank is
beyond reach of any conventional therapy. He's crackers through and
through, plus he's a compulsive pathological liar.

These kind of groups also tend to draw control freaks...like certain
MVPs who can't resist trying to play net cop in various ways.

If you know a certain amount of noise will always be made by these
jerks and those responding to them, in my case just for the fun of it,
then you can either "play along" and be amused by it or somehow find
the willpower to simply skip over such posts. Of course that requires
being adult, something beyond a lot of posters that frequent this
newsgroup.

What I always find devilishly amusing is those that whine and
complaint the loudest about the noise always make most of it
themselves.
