Dual Boot

I have a Windows XP 64 bit workstation.

I want to set it up so that I can dual boot a Windows Server 2003 Standard
64 bit edition (with that being the primary if no selection is made).

I have four physical hard drives in the machine. XP is installed on the
first one, drive c. I'd like to install Server 2003 on the 4th one (F:)

Can anyone give me some pointers on how to do this? I've done some
googling, but haven't come up with any good results.

There are many ways of doing this. Here is what I would do:
1. Partition the disk that carries drive F: so that it has a primary
or logical partition of 15 MBytes at the far end. Label it XOLS.
2. Download XOSL from http://www.ranish.com/part/xosl.htm,
expand it and put it on a floppy disk.
3. Disconnect all disks except Disk 4. Make Disk 4 the primary
master disk.
4. Boot the machine with a floppy Win98 boot disk from
www.bootdisk.com.
5. Install XOSL. Make sure it goes into the 15 MByte XOLS
partition.
6. Connect your XP disk as a primary/secondary master or
slave - it does not matter.
7. When you reboot the machine then it will give you the XOSL
setup menu. Add WinXP to its menu, then reboot and see if
it works.

The above is a safe method of installing a boot loader because
it does not modify your existing WinXP installation in any way.

If you need further assistance when adding Windows Server,
post again.

Warning: Be careful when ***installing*** XOSL. If you have
Disks 1, 2 or 3 connected then you risk erasing them in case
you select an incorrect option.

Install Server 2003 to the desired partition. Windows will setup a dual boot
menu automatically. Edit the boot.ini file to make Server 2003 the default
if it's not already.
