I am having a debate with another tech. Please advise on what steps you would
take in this situation to determine the problem/diagnosis:

email is down as well as FileMaker and other services. also getting
different issues and calls from end users.

All of the programs and end users work from the same windows 2003 server.

There is also another tech that has access to this server.

Where would you start to find out what is going on with your end user.

What does the other tech think you should do?

Hello klafert,

Your posting is not very helpful. Describe only the problems you have in
detail and what you try to solve them.

Sounds like an authentication issue or it cannot find the domain.

As Meinolf and Leonard stated, we need INFO to help. For starters:

1. Unedite ipconfig /all from one of your DCs, the Exchange server, the
server FileMaker is on, and a workstation.
2. Name of the AD DNS Domain name as it shows up in ADUC.
3. Name of the zone in DNS that AD is using.
4. Does the zone allow updates?
5. When did this start happening? What was changed prior?

Otherwise, we won't be able to help you fix it or win your bet.

Actually I want a piece of the action. I'll give you my paypal account email
address later to fork it up... (just kiddin!!!). :-)
