Re: Recurring popup message.

From MVP Jason Tsang's blog:

The version of wmvdmoe.dll (v7.0.0.1917) is old and will cause the
ehrecvr.exe to crash.

You need to get an updated version of the dll and replace it. Here's a link
to a newer version (v8.0.0.44778)

http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/W/wmvdmoe.dll/8.00.00.44778/download.html

Note that this file is hosted on a non-Mircosoft site, and I normally
wouldn't advocate downloading Microsoft files from a non-Microsoft source,
but I don't know where else to get an updated version of this file.

Others have reported that this will fix this particular issue, so hopefully
it works for you too.

Re: Recurring popup message.

Thank you, I found the location of the file
"ehrecvr.exe" (the one in the error message)
which I renamed, and a couple of others too,
and this made the problem go away.

This problem might have occured yesterday
when I downloaded the latest software for the
"Compro DTV" TV program which has been
working very well for about 2 years.

I found the file "ehrecvr.exe" in the
"Windows/eHome" directory, and there were
some files in the "Windows/pchealth"
directory too.

In hope I have done the right thing?

Regards.
