Hi,
I am having issues attempting to load Acer's hotkey.sys under a
non-administrative account. The notebook is a AMD T64 running XP 64.
The hotkey.sys driver is needed to access the Bluetooth and WLAN on/off
buttons while operating under Windows. It is located in the syswow64/drivers
folder. However, unless I give the user adminstrator rights, it is
impossible to load this driver. Even under poweruser group the hotkey.sys
will not load. I can not give my users adminstrative rights of course, so I
am stuck with them not being able to use WLAN functions while on biz trips.
Any idea?
Thanks.
