Hi there,
I am testing terminal server 2008 and remote app. However, I ran into
an issue with clients being unable to print from a published remoteapp
session.
If I log into the server with the admin account, I am able to print
via the remote session. If I log into the remoteapp via a power user
account, I simply cannot print. It will refuse to carry over my local
printers to the terminal server. I also understand that the new TS
supports a new printing mechanism called easy print. Well, I guess its
not too easy at all lol.
I temporarily assigned the power user as a temp local admin to see if
its a permission issue. same problem persists, It wont print. A
dialog box will appear asking me to "save file as"
I have also checked via the local computer policies to see if LPT
redirection has been disabled, it is not. BTW, this is a fresh install
of ts2008.
One last thing which I find weird. I am not able to DELETE any
printers with any accounts! including admin / domain admin accounts.
Anyone else having similar issues? My clients are running windows xp
sp3, net 3.0 and latest RDP client. the server is running ts2008 sp1
thanks.
