We have a w2k3 sp2 server and lots of xp sp2 pc's. Most of our users have
roaming profiles. We have now added a couple of vista machines for testing
and wondered if there was a way of setting up a user account to use the
alternative roaming profile for vista when the user uses this machine.

Thanks

Glenn

Re: Roaming roflies

Glenn,
You need to Redirect folders out of the profile so they can be used in Vista
and pre-Vista logons. The profiles themselves are not compatible,

Profiles aren't compatible between OS versions (this was true for XP & 2k,
too, as well as Terminal Services)....so don't let users roam on computers
running OSes that don't match their profiles. It's really best to have
identical (or close to!) computers on a network if you're going to use
roaming profiles.
