I had to reinstall Vista, again, because of unresolvable Blue Screens after
NVidia upgrade. Since I've had very bad luck keeping Vista happy, I extended
the grace period as per the microsoft method so I could make sure this
install sticks (so far its better with SP1), and now I'm getting a window
telling me I'm NOT genuine, and I got this error when trying to activate. I
ran the diagnostic tool and I got this in the results:

Re: ReActivation Error...

You can reset your Windows Vista activation by performing the following:

1. Click on the Start button and in the Start Search box type in: slui.exe 4

2. Press the Enter key on your keyboard.

3. Select your Country.

4. Follow the instructions for phone activation (no charge).

5. Once completed, restart your computer.

RE: ReActivation Error...

I really need help with this activation issue. This activation thing was
designed to thwart illegal copies and generated product ID's yet now I'm the
victim. I purchased this copy of vista and only installed it on this
computer numerous times because of Vistas lack of stability. Finally its
more stable because of SP1, and now I cant activate it. Reinstall is no
longer an option. Any help is appreciated. Thx!

Re: ReActivation Error...

I would love to call someone, but all I can find for contacts is an expensive
pay-for service. I understand there is a phone service for activation, yet I
am unable to find the number to call. Can you advise?

The phone number is given to you when internet activation fails. It will ask
for your locality and then give you a number.

Re: ReActivation Error...

Gordon, I cant get that far in the activation process to get the phone
number. As soon as I click the activate link, I get the error. Thats it.
