Hi
We are experiencing problems with some of our clients losing their
connection to our mapped drives.
We use offline files and what happens is that suddenly the Offline file
notification pops up with a message telling the user that they are working
offline. The connection to our Exchange server is still running and the user
can use the internet as well.
If the users just right-click on the Offline notification and select
synchronize they get connected to the mapped drives again.
This is a problem that occurs around once a week, we have around 40 clients
and about 10-12 of them experience the problem. They are connected to
different network hardware so everything is pointning towards a software
problem.
I found MS article KB884020 and have installed it on 4 of the computers last
week but we haven't had the problem since but I am quit sure that it will be
back.
