Translate "pointer" please.

Re: Mouse

Generally if you have a PS2 mouse; no you won't have a pointer after you
uninstall it from control panel.
you would need to use the Windows key & shut down.
plug the new PS2 mouse in & power up.
it should be detected and the pointer restored.

If it is a USB mouse, you can use the 'safely remove hardware' or such icon
in the system tray, uninstall from control panel as desired, then plug it
back in. when redetected & reinstalled, the pointer will return.

Re: Mouse

Then you have to use the keyboard to navigate the menu.

Re: Mouse

Ctrl+Esc gets the Start menu up. Drive around with the Arrow keys thru
the menu, Up Down to item, left right to select branch, Space bar will
"tick" a selection, Enter to activate "next" etc.
