I have a client who got infected with the poweroff.exe virus which messed up
the drive sharing in Windows, I removed it then did a in place repair, all
worked great, shares fine no viruses. I setup windows with auto updates but
they will not install, every time I tell it to update it just states that
some updates could not be updated.
It did install on it's own the installer 3.1, the advantage pack and another
I can not remember, after this no other updates install I installed IE7
manually and tried again no help.
When I do a manual update the same thing occurs with no error messages.
Any suggestions? I do not want to install SP3 right now, I have a 16 bit app
running and do not know if SP3 is going to mess this up, it has to be tested
first by the developer of the app.
TIA
