Hey everyone,
My server has recently experienced a situation where the multimedia timer
resolution is being set to 1ms instead of the default (10/15ms)
I figured it was just some background program that I couldnt kill, so I
restarted the server and it was still experiencing the higher timer
resolution. I uninstalled nearly everything I installed on the server and
disabled all unneeded services to no avail, the multimedia timer is being set
at boot to 1ms.
The server is a Server 2003 R2 SP2, my only other option is to reload the OS
and I want to avoid that of obvious reasons.
There have been no driver changes since I experienced this.
