RE: Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool (KB892130) FAILED INSTAL
I had the same problem trying to install updates for a new pc i am working
on. I did manage to get around this problem by just going straight to
Microsoft download center and download windows media player 11, because of
this my computer is forced to install the wga and voila it works. also keep
in mind i had to seperately install update for win xp (KB898461) from
download center too. hope this helps anyone with this prob.
